Our vision is to achieve a thriving, collaborative, interdisciplinary cultural community that possesses a variety of resources, spaces, and pathways that support the educational, economic, and creative needs of Santa Fe. We recommend policies and programs that develop and promote artistic excellence in our community. We provide leadership by and for the City of Santa Fe to support arts and cultural affairs. On January 29, 2020, the City of Santa Fe’s Governing Body officially created and renamed the Santa Fe Arts Commission to The City of Santa Fe Arts and Culture Department, moving it from Tourism Department to become a stand-alone city department.
